We support film professionals. How?
By providing them with a sense of community, promoting their work, and connecting them with major names in the industry.
We run private monthly evening events called Jam Sessions in which we host informal talks with top industry figures and showcase the work of up-and-coming film talent.
We also run weekend masterclasses for film professionals, taught by established names in the business, in partnership with ShortCourses@NFTS.
The Team
Jared Fryer / Director
Jared is a London-based writer, director, editor and performer. After becoming well-acquainted with the Los Angeles film business while attending UCLA, he returned to his native England and worked for several years as a freelancer in London. Armed with this experience, he founded Cinema Jam to bring people together and support other people in their film careers.
Petra Mandová / Programming & Events
Petra fell in love with cinema at age 12, spending countless hours sat in front of the family VCR, soaking up the classics. As an adult she continued to feed her passion for film, first in the academic world, studying in Prague, Paris and Brazil. Petra then had a stint at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and Prague International Film Festival (FEBIO), before moving to London, where she worked at BFI and London Film Festival.
