Cinema Jam has partnered with Raindance for charity event with drinks, music and a celebration of independent filmmaking!

Cinema Jam has partnered with the Raindance Film Festival for the Independent Filmmaker’s Ball – a charity fundraiser and film industry party taking place at the Café de Paris in Leicester Square on Wednesday 29th April, 2015!  Screen Shot 2015-04-15 at 3.57.34 PM We will be spicing up the night with our #FilmFantasy matchmaking game. Party-goers will also be encouraged to talk and tweet about their secret #FilmFantasies in the run-up to – and during – the event, and will be given tarot cards as they arrive; those who manage to match their card with someone else’s can go to the bar for a complimentary drink from our sponsor Caple Rd Cider!  Jared Fryer, our founder and director, said:

“Cinema Jam aims to bring exciting film-making professionals together in a relaxed, non-networky environment – That’s why the #FilmFantasy game is perfect; it gives the filmmakers an easy way to strike-up conversations, without the pressure of stiff professionalism – it’s more fun! And who doesn’t like a free drink?”

The Independent Filmmaker’s Ball will also feature the sizzling sounds of London’s best swing band, ‘Natty Congeroo & the Flames of Rhythm’, a raffle with prizes from leading film organisations and outstanding talent from the world of indie film. Confirmed appearances from Raindance Patrons include Nick Broomfield, Sadie Frost, Nik Powell and Derek Malcolm. It’s a fantastic opportunity for filmmakers, film professionals and film fans to mingle, connect and support an important charity.
